Design proposal for Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA)’s 50th year anniversary celebrations.
Simplistic yet fragmented and abstract, the logo is inspired by Pablo Picasso’s cubism art.
The logo uses basic art elements to represent the art college:
- It is constructed using the 3 basic shapes - circle, triangle and square.
- It is made up the 3 primary colours - red, blue & yellow.
The geometric elements are duplicated and scaled to different sizes to graphically form a part of the wider identity.
The key visual design express a sense of cheerful celebration.
The vivid colours represent the energetic vibrance of youth.
